Today I am setting up my github ssh key in my AWS instance.

Create ssh key you need to run the below command adding your email linked to your github account. A passphase will be requested, if you don't have one just press enter.

$ ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 4096 -C "your_email@example.com"

Then add the created ssh key

eval $(ssh-agent -s)

ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_rsa (or whatever name the private key is)

Retrieve the public key:

cat ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub

Then copy to clipboard and add the new key to Gitub (ssh keys are found within your profile settings).

I have recently completed my apprenticeship.  I am currently building the API to a React JS site using Firebase.
